ATV Racks Make Quads Useful

When a person chooses to buy an ATV, they’re choosing an escape to adventure in the wilderness. It’s harder to figure out which of the many things a person can do with a quad that a person might want to begin with. For business or for pleasure, adding ATV racks to a quad can make it a seriously practical tool.

The draw of the wilderness is great, and its biggest allure is escaping civilization. Few people want to walk through their entire adventure on foot, however. Many want to get into the darkest densest woods or to parts of the prairies that no one else goes to, and walking there doesn’t sound fun at all.

The first part of a wilderness adventure often includes driving the ATV out to the beginning of the wilderness. Putting a quad in the back of a truck is one way to get it out there. Ramps should be made of durable steel and ideally should be stored in the back of the truck so they can be used again and again. Make sure that when using ramps, they are not set at too dangerous or severe of an angle.

Once the ramps are ready, the quad will be loaded in the back of the truck. However, it’s up to the owners how many quads their truck will carry and how. Most people use a simple rack laid across the top rim of the truck’s bed. This will let it carry one large ATV or two small ones set side by side. Another way to ensure two quads can be carried is to stack them on their back wheels in the back of the truck, resting against each other.

Putting a rack on the ATV itself is also a good idea. Many people will set racks on the back of the vehicle so it can carry supplies, including special racks for carrying extra gas in a can. More ideal, however, is putting a rack on the front of the vehicle near the steering wheel. This is a great place to put rifles and hunting bows within easy grabbing distance. A set of T stands put on either end of the ATV will create a roof for carrying gear and for setting lights onto.

Having an ATV is one thing. Making the most use of it is another. Having good multi purpose ATV racks to carry a bevy of different things is helpful. Good racks can help the quad get loaded and carried somewhere, as well as helping it to carry other things itself besides just the driver.
